About the program

About AUSParks

AUSParks is an Australian amateur radio park activation program built around portable operating, a national park directory and member log submissions.

What is AUSParks?

AUSParks brings together amateur radio and Australia's parks and protected areas. Operators can find an eligible location, activate the park and submit their contacts to the AUSParks database.

National park directory

The AUSParks Park Directory contains qualifying references from VK0 through VK9. Each location has its own AUS reference and may also include access or permit information where relevant.

Search the Park Directory →

For activators

Activators operate portable amateur radio from an eligible AUSParks location and submit their log after the activation. ADI, ADIF and CSV log files are supported.

Upload a log →

For members

AUSParks members can maintain an account, upload activation logs and build a record of their portable radio activity.

Program rules

Activations must comply with amateur radio licence conditions, park access requirements and the AUSParks Program Rules.

Park information and corrections

AUSParks aims to keep the Park Directory accurate and useful. Park names, access conditions and other information may change over time, so operators should also check current information from the relevant land manager before visiting a park.

Contact AUSParks

Questions, park corrections and other program enquiries are welcome.
